Congratulations to Ms. Susan Waring, Ms. Caitlin Schifter, and Ms. Megan Counts on their recognition as the October 2023 FCPS CARES Region 4 Recipients of the Month, presented by the FCPS Department of Human Resources.

The FCPS CARES Program allows parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story below so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.

Below is the write-up submitted by a Laurel Ridge Elementary School parent.

My daughter is a member of the LRES Military Kids Club. The club itself means a lot to my child, but I would like to recognize the staff members who participated in the potluck dinner last week. All educators give so much to a child's life, but taking the time and energy to share dinner and fellowship with the military families of our school was really special. Mrs. Waring, Ms. Schifter, and Mrs. Counts' time spent with our family has contributed greatly to the feeling of home and belonging our Army family feels in our community.
