5th Grade Celebrates Chinese New Year with a Dragon Parade!
This year, the 5th-grade students at Laurel Ridge celebrated Chinese New Year with a fun dragon parade. Each student made their own colorful dragon using things like paper, fabric, and paint. The dragons symbolize strength and good luck, important parts of the holiday. After making their dragons, the students wrote stories about their designs and what they mean. Everyone -- other students, staff, and parents -- had a great time looking at all the cool and different dragons made by the fifth graders!
